A small tool for a new kind of shelf.
AI Shelf Test checks whether ChatGPT mentions your shop when someone asks it what to buy.
What it does
You enter your shop's web address. We read your public pages to understand what you sell and suggest a few questions a real shopper might ask, like “best tinned fish for a gift” or “comfortable sneakers for travel.” You can edit them.
Then we ask ChatGPT each question a few times, with web search turned on, and count which shops and brands it names. You get a simple score, the names that came up instead of you, sample answers, and a short list of things on your site that AI assistants can read, such as product details and structured data.
Why it exists
More people now ask an AI assistant for product advice before they shop. For a small store, it's hard to know whether you show up in those answers at all, and most tools for this are built for big brands with big budgets. This one aims to be simple, honest and affordable.
Who makes it
AI Shelf Test is made by an independent maker, not a company or agency. It's an early project, so feedback genuinely shapes what gets built next.
What to keep in mind
- Results are a sample. We use OpenAI's developer API, and the ChatGPT app can answer differently, especially for signed-in shoppers.
- Answers change from run to run, which is why we ask more than once.
